About Ambition Habitation

Our mission is simple yet challenging: to bring concrete real estate projects to fruition that are tailored to the realities of the communities we serve. To achieve this, we bring together municipal, community, institutional, and professional stakeholders who shape our regions under a shared vision.

What sets us apart? Our ability to turn community-driven ideas into tangible results by combining expertise, engaging the right partners, and staying grounded in people’s real needs.

Ambition Habitation is growing rapidly. We are laying the foundation, brick by brick, to make the dream of an affordable home a reality for as many people as possible.

Our partners

The CDC Beauharnois-Salaberry is a key partner of Ambition Habitation and plays a pivotal role in its establishment and development. In response to the housing crisis affecting the entire region, the CDC supported the creation of Ambition Habitation to provide a concrete solution to the need for affordable housing for low-income individuals and community organizations. This commitment is reflected in a financial contribution of $250,000, spread over four years, demonstrating a structural, sustainable support that is consistent with its mission.

The CDC team

  • Mélodie Morel: Theater Coordinator for Les pas pour rire and Board Member.
  • Solange Chabot: Director of Actions familles Sainte-Martine Saint Urbain and Board Member.
  • Geneviève Belhumeur: Development Officer at CDC BHS.
  • Jessica Mathers: Director of Répit le Zéphyr and Board Member.
  • Alexandra Hinse: Communications Officer at CDC BHS.
  • François Tessier: Director of the Club de joie de vivre and member of the Board of Directors.
  • Edith Gariépy: Director of CDC BHS and President of AH

At the heart of Ambition Habitation’s development, the CDC Beauharnois–Salaberry helped draft the business plan, establish governance structures, and organize the organization. It mobilized partners, facilitated strategic meetings, recruited board members, and presented the project to various decision-making bodies, including municipal councils and the Beauharnois-Salaberry RCM Council of Mayors. This work helped create favorable conditions for the implementation of concrete and promising projects for the region.

More broadly, the CDC Beauharnois–Salaberry supports and assists local community organizations, promotes their visibility, and actively contributes to community development. It also leads and coordinates the Housing Emergency Committee, a collaborative forum that brings together various stakeholders concerned with housing issues. The CDC’s involvement in Ambition Habitation is thus part of a comprehensive and collaborative approach to housing needs, aimed at sustainable solutions that are tailored to local realities and rooted in community solidarity.
