A promising future for affordable housing
Ambition Habitation is thriving, with many projects under development. In the face of the housing crisis, we are increasingly approached by partners wishing to collaborate with us. Our community-based approach and our commitment to actively supporting the community enable us to build a more inclusive and accessible future.
Project Vigilance is a local initiative that brings together more than 40 partners, including the CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest, with the goal of supporting community-based outreach and prevention by fostering safe, humane environments conducive to supporting more vulnerable individuals. Our participation in this initiative marked our organization’s first involvement within the local community ecosystem. It was based on a natural alignment of values, notably the importance of prevention, coordinated action, and the creation of welcoming and inclusive environments.
It’s important to specify that we weren’t the lead organization for Project Vigilance, but were involved in our capacity as a property manager. Our contribution focused on providing and managing a space suited to its mission. This collaboration illustrates our approach: contributing to the vitality of neighbourhoods by developing built environments that support local initiatives, while respecting the role, expertise, and leadership of community and institutional partners.
Project Vigilance was also recognized at the provincial level. The CISSS de la Montérégie-Ouest received an award highlighting the impact and relevance of this initiative, showcasing community-based outreach, cross-sector collaboration, and innovation in prevention practices.
This recognition reflects the quality of the project and the commitment of the teams involved, as well as the importance of an appropriate environment to support this type of intervention.
